It’s a biggie for the Dire Straits Experience - 15 European gigs over three and a half weeks. Starting off in the Netherlands and moving on to Northern Germany and Austria. As always the crowds and venues are amazing. A complete pleasure to be a part of this wonderful tour.

Back To The Netherlands
Other than a one-off gig in Lunen in Germany, the Dire Straits Experience will be touring the Netherlands with 7 gigs from the 15th through to the 24th May. Peter Boone, Dutch promoter and personal fan of the band has supported their tours now for a good few years and continues to fill out concert halls across the country.
More Dire Travels
And so the gigs go on for the Dire Straits Experience. From Budapest in early April to Russia a week later. Three gigs covering Moscow, Ufa and Yekateringberg. One unexpected mode of transport was the overnight sleeper train to Ufa. I even managed to bump into some old mates in Red Square ! And then a week ago we had a one off gig on the Azores - a beautiful collection of Islands right out in the North Atlantic. Coming up soon we leave for two weeks touring the Netherlands with eight gigs. June will be quiet on the DSE front, which is just well as Ill be continuing with a series of Ministry of Sound gigs with the concert promoter Raymond Gubbay.
Dire Straits Experience
I shall be touring with the 'Dire Straits Experience' out in Holland and Belgium for 2 weeks from November. This is for me a new band I’m working with and I’ve certainly come to have a true appreciation of the music since rehearsing for three solid days. The band is run by Chris White, one of the original sax players for Dire Straits whilst Terence Reis provides vocals and lead guitar that are uncannily reminiscent of Mark Knopfler. The whole show lasts well over two hours and is a marathon of concentration and musicianship. I’m really looking forward to joining these guys.
