Well that was fun. Just a couple of stand-in gigs for a fabulous show featuring the amazing vocals of Harry Cambridge and his fabulous singers plus an awesome 5 piece band. The first at Central Theatre in Chatham at the end of January and the second at the prestigious Symphony Hall in Birmingham. If you love the music of Luther Vandross, check out this show - it’s something very special indeed.

<strong>Back On YouTube </strong>
I must confess it has been awhile since my last YouTube video but I’ve revisited Final Cut Pro and got creating again. This time it’s an educational video looking at Orchestrating a piano piece using one of my Christmas tunes that I composed a couple of years ago - ‘All Aboard The Reindeer Express’. It’s aimed at the beginner and shows an easier and more responsive approach to acquiring the skills needed to be an orchestrator. Click on the link to take a look and please like / subscribe if it’s of interest to you. Many thanks
Lockdown Project for Music Charity
I've been overwhelmed by the positive and enthusiastic response to my music video - an arrangement of ' I Heard It Through The Grapevine'. I was so grateful to the musicians who agreed to participate to support the music charity - 'HelpMusicians.Org.Uk'. We've had nearly 8000 thousand views on Facebook and nearly 200 'shares'. The video was produced by my neighbour Adrian Kingston and the track mixed by Nick Pugh of Session Corner. I've now uploaded it to my YouTube page - please visit and give it a thumbs up ! Or subscribe to my channel if the mood grabs you ! Many Thanks
Sheet Music for Sale
Over the years I’ve composed music for many purposes. Piano, not surprisingly, has always been my favourite instrument to write for. You may from time to time come across my music. If you have a Roland digital piano for example, it’s very likely some of my music will be included in the built-in demo songs. I’ve now made a lot of the sheet music available using the Score Exchange website. Just go to - https://www.scoreexchange.com/profiles/johnmaul - to see what’s available. I’m constantly updating the catalogue with both old and new material so it’s worth popping back every now again. Failing that, if there’s something you’ve heard that I’ve composed and its not there, drop my an email and I’ll see what I can do.
